A beautiful Antique Edwardian Suffragette ring hallmarked Birmingham - 1913. The face is lined with violet Amethysts and white Diamonds with a green Peridot in the centre.
Together the colours of each stone pay tribute to the women’s Suffragette movement which took place in the early 20th century and popularly consisted of Violet, Green and White stones which symbolised; Violet for Loyalty, White for Purity and Green for Hope, or Give Women Votes!
The gallery is all solid 18ct Yellow Gold with a thick band that has developed a lovely smoothness with age. It’s a wonderful piece of history and fully hallmarked inside the shank.
